I switched from VirtualBox 4.2.12 to 4.1.26 because I read on line that 4.1.26 worked for installation of 10.6 Server but 4.2.12 did not.

    I hope you are happy with whatever decision you make. Until about a a year ago I had always used a Windows based machine, and in my work environment I still do.

    If you want a pc for everyday use, even a $500 laptop may be a better choice than a mac, but it really just all depends what you are using it for (. ➜ Documents sudo installer -verbose -pkg VirtualBox.pkg -target / installer: Package name is Oracle VM VirtualBox installer: Installing at base path / installer: Preparing for installation. I tried to also run the pkg install from the terminal to see if I could get more information about why its failing but it doesnt help. I have tried to install VirtualBox 5.1.28 to macOS high sierra but it fails every time with the following screen: After some looking around I found and I did indeed see that it was blocking VirtualBox from installing. Hope this helps! EDIT: I finally solved the kernel panic and managed to complete the installation! I did some minor changes to the clover folder in the repo, but i think the one that did the trick was changing the smbios from macbook13.3 to macbook13.1 (not sure why it worked, maybe because i have the non-iris model) anyway here's my final clover folder Thanks for your Clover Folder!!!, it seems everything works good but the Wifi,mine is DW1560 and it used to work well in 10.14.1.but now I can't use it. dw1830 wifi And i've used rehabman's clover fork to prepare the usb.Unfortunately i get a Kernel Panic while booting High sierra from the SSD and I haven't found a solution yet. I just booted again an the error was gone, and the installer finished its job. After the first reboot i got an error (something like 'Service exited due to signal sent by security'). I was able to get to the installer, prepare the ssd and start the installation. I solved the problem adding USBInjectAll.kext into the Clover/kexts/Other directory. Hope this helps! Current BIOS is 1.6.1 Here are the screenshots of the verbose right before and during the crashing.I tried it in multiple USB drives and different ports tried creating the installation drive with Unibeast and Terminal command tried the latest and previous Clover EFI bootloaders. I followed all the instructions one by one.

    In Verbose mode it crashes half way, a 'no entry' icon pops up and the last text says 'Still waiting for root device'. I am trying to do a fresh install of High Sierra 10.13.3 on my XPS 13 (9350) but I am having issues booting the installation. Unfortunately, you’re not really supposed to do this-so getting macOS running in VirtualBox is, to say the least, tricky.
